WordPress/Woocommerce Design + Development

Plucky Papers

The Plucky Papers website project is the most extensive project I have ever developed spanning over 18 months in total beginning in 2019. It was built using WordPress and WooCommerce and had a very large feature set that required more than 50 plugins. Some of the main features included Dokan multi-vendor ecommerce system, online design, Facebook and Instagram product feeds, a support ticket help desk, automatic content generation and a customer points and rewards system.

Plucky Papers was a start-up created by a husband and wife team and featured high-quality, custom printed greeting cards that featured artwork and photography from a select group of international artists. The inside of each greeting card could be personalized online with custom text and graphics as part of the checkout process.

In addition to the long development life-cycle, more than 500 greeting cards needed to be prepared along with several different mockups of each, showing potential buyers what the finished product would look like. Getting such a large number of plugins (50+) to work together without errors or conflicts, and optimizing the site for speed as one of the many challenges. Unfortunately one of the founding members passed away, so the venture was hut down. But I was able to get permission to host the site in its entirety on my server as a portfolio item and it can be seen here: Plucky Papers website in a new window
